Take an online, Hour of Code tutorial in Processing; programming for Visual Arts and Animation.  It's a fun, one hour tutorial and you'll touch many design, mathematical, art, and computational concepts, with some informational text to boot.

Coordinate systems, conditional logic, geometric primitives, color rendering, algorithms, patterns, interactivity, functions, looping, variables, parameters, etc..  Best of all, you'll have fun!  BTW, you can run the tutorial thru a SmartPhone, Chromebook, laptop, etc..

At the end of the tutorial, you can get your Hour of Code certificate, share your work, etc..  Go ahead, Tweet it out, improve your Like-ability, Pin it somewhere, Snap it around...;-)  A former PV high school student got a scholarship to an out of state university and it all started with one Hour of Code while she was a Senior.
